Escrow Protection

All project payments go through our escrow system. When you hire a freelancer, your payment is held securely until you approve the deliverable. If something goes wrong, our dispute resolution team steps in.

We never release funds without the client's approval. If a freelancer doesn't deliver what was agreed upon, you get your money back.

Identity Verification

Freelancers who want the "Verified" badge complete ID verification through our partner. This confirms their identity but doesn't guarantee the quality of their work -- that's what reviews are for.

Report a Problem

If you encounter fraud, harassment, or any safety concern, report it immediately. We investigate every report, usually within 24 hours. Accounts found violating our policies are suspended.

Common Scams to Watch For

• Requests to pay outside the platform ("send me payment via Venmo")
• Freelancers who ask for payment before delivering any work
• Suspiciously low bids that seem too good to be true
• Messages that ask for personal information like passwords or SSN
• Fake reviews or inflated portfolios

When in doubt, use the escrow system and keep all communication on-platform. Never share login credentials or sensitive personal information.
